I didn’t like to compare people and probably will never be good at it, however, there’s a significant changes in the “monarchy today” compared to “monarchy of yesterday” that we need to discuss to predict “the monarchy of tomorrow”. Having spent several days listening to the couple’s love story, some conclusions appeared in my mind. Monarchy of yesterday, let me say, compared to what it is today, is so rigid and did not represents the century of our generation. William is a true best friend for his wedded wife, Catherine Middleton. It could be seen by the way they talk very often with each other and did not seem awkward when appearing together in public. Shockingly, they have lived together before they even get married. Catherine Middleton was not married at a young age like what Diana did. Their love is unbelievably sincere, especially when comparing their affection with Charles and Diana’s, with their failed marriage. If you saw the wedding, you will remember that magical dress. A dress designed by Sarah Burton that represents the old and the new. In Diana’s time, the first public kiss was happened and they were only done it once. William and Kate, even if their kiss was short, done it twice in public, respecting so many people that have come to see them that day from all over the world. Kate’s style that day was so natural and even if she still wears a tiara, it was so simple and almost invisible. Choosing whose the British monarch will call “a commoner”, is a right step for Wills and the stepping stone of the new and modern monarchy we have seen today. I personally can’t wait to see William as the King and totally change everything rigid and bad about the monarch. I imagine “monarchy of tomorrow” being totally rebellious and changing all the rigid opinions about what monarchy should be like.

Ever wondered what can you do to change this world to be better?

You can do it by supporting any issues that you are concerned of: it could be Animal Rights, Global Warming, Poverty, Education, Women’s Rights or even Health care. Life is too short, spend your time wisely! Do something!

What is change for you?

Change for me means that I can actually do something that would add a significant improvement to the world I live in. I would want to make others proud. First of all, being a prominent person for my community. Change means we’re becoming wiser to do good things for the things around us.

What do you want to change in the world?

I actually want the poverty to ends, better environment for living things, and of course, since I am a girl, I want women’s rights to be applied everywhere. For politics, i think democracy is the best way to make the positive changes in many countries. Change can be called as “success” when the world has become more peaceful and we understand about others.

Do you support personal change?

Do something beyond your fear. Be the next change makers! Be the change you want to see in the world. So, why do I wrote this?

I believe that EVERYONE can contribute and help United Nations achieve the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs).

-What is MDGs?
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight international development goals that all 192 United Nations member states and at least 23 international organizations have agreed to achieve by the year 2015. They include reducing extreme poverty, reducing child mortality rates, fighting disease epidemics such as AIDS, and developing a global partnership for development.
*According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_Development_Goals)

-When is the deadline to achieve these goals?
We only have five more years, until 2015. We don’t have much time, so better act now. Start volunteering!

-Who makes this program?
United Nations made it. They are very hopeful about the achievement. So ACT ACT ACT! Don’t just speak.

-What is the eight MDGs?
1. ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY AND HUNGER
2. ACHIEVE UNIVERSAL PRIMARY EDUCATION
3. PROMOTE GENDER EQUALITY AND EMPOWER WOMEN
4. REDUCE CHILD MORTALITY RATE
5. IMPROVE MATERNAL HEALTH
6. COMBAT HIV/AIDS, MALARIA, AND OTHER DISEASES
7. ENSURE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
8. DEVELOP A GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT

Act to save your community, and then your world! Think big for our future…

Friendship is beautiful,
like dreams,
it dwells in memory,
way deep like an ocean.

Never been that stunned,
Thank you for the thoughtfulness and heartfelt prayers,
Sunshine upon a new day comes,
Thanks for just being there.

Unexpected yet unforgettable,
Indefinite and Indelible,
Healed Wounds,
Brought Courage.

Once again,
THANK YOU
For yesterday.

I’m always thankful for my seven dwarfs.

Love,

Michael Jackson Memorial Service

Michael Jackson Memorial Service was on July 8th, 2009 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, USA. I watched Michael Jackson Memorial last tuesday (about midnight until 3am). Live on my time in Indonesia. I’m really sleepy that time, but i think everybody wanna see it. So i stayed up late just to see his memorial. His memorial was magical, literally. It’s all about come together, as one. As one of his song, i quoted “We are the world.” Many of famous people attended this memorial, like Shaquille O’Neal, Queen Latifah and Kenny Ortega. Some of the performers are : Mariah Carey, Trey Lorenz, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, and Usher. Mariah Carey messed up a little bit during her performance with Trey Lorenz and i think it’s because she tried to holding back her tears. Overall, she sang “I’ll be there” with a very good stable voice. John Mayer only played only guitar, which is really outstanding, for the very beautiful song of Michael, “Human Nature.” Jennifer Hudson sang “Will You be there”, my favorite song from the movie Free Willy. Her voice was so damn soulful! Chills really got into me when Michael Jackson voice in this song were there. Usher probably gave us the best performance of the night, singing “Gone too soon”. He touched Michael Jackson’s $25,000 casket and you can really feel it. Here’s the video:

The climax from this memorial is probably this video by Brooke Shields:
My mom actually cried when she saw this. “We are the world” and “Heal the World” performed by various artists, some of them was sung by Judith Hill. A boy whom Kenny Ortega introduced (Shaheen Jafargholi) sang “Who’s Lovin’ you”. He actually really good at singing as you can see.

At the end of the memorial his family, including her daughter, Paris Katherine Jackson, gave speeches. Paris pretty much said that Michael was the best father we can ever imagined and she love him so much.

Michael Jackson Memorial got us thinking, why can’t we be like him? When he died everybody remembered him. And why his family making the memorial service this big? when Michael Jackson can’t even pay his debt? I dont know thats a rumor or what, but i think MJ’s family can’t waste their money like that.

Some quotes that i like on the memorial slideshow:

“There’s nothing that can’t be done if we raise our voice as one.”
“They say the sky is the limit, and to me that is really true.”

Rest in Peace Michael Jackson, you knew you will always remembered by people who loves you. You are a TRUE LEGEND. May GOD bless you.
